The Plan
My plan is for chessplayers in WA to start more chess clubs. Where I can, I will help.
I have taken some steps which might lead to the resurrection of the Midland Chess Club. If Lazarus could return from the dead, how much easier should it be to bring life back to the Midland Chess Club?
I want the core strong players that were there before back. I have a plan that might appeal to them. A core part of the plan is for them to dig in and help. Help make new players welcome, by encouraging them and offering them free mentoring.
Chess Clubs
There are too few chess clubs in Western Australia.
For purposes of discussion, I mean chess clubs where chess tournaments are played, which caters for chessplayers from beginners to experts. There other clubs where the emphasis is on social aspects of chess, and I am a member of one of those. A problem I have there is that players tend to prefer not to play some others "because you are too good."

This website is to promote the playing of tournament chess in Western Australia.
It is not an official site of The Chess Association of Western Australia, but rather the personal site of its Junior Vice President.
